Fairchild Tropical
Botanic Gardens

Butterflies, hummingbirds (shh, that's still a secret, who knew there were also so many snakes?) and a tropical oasis situated in a historical Old Florida building deep within Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in South Miami: Welcome to Wings of Paradise.

This was an honor to help launch.

​

And that honor included a last-minute media buy of two complete pages in the Miami Herald, and a heavy ask of the Copy Department (ME): come up with and write that many articles to full the space.

​

On the fly, I created and crafted a number of said "articles" about everything in the exhibit, as well as the botanist and other experts behind it.

​

This effort "landed" me/the agency some Gold Addies or something to that affect, as I am not one to retain awards. But I do retain experiences, and this was a beautiful one.
